You're Gonna Miss This!

When Matt got accepted to ATSU and we decided that is where we wanted to go, I was definitely proud of him! I was so excited that his dream of being a doctor and helping people was beginning to happen; However, sometimes I would find myself wondering what the heck I had gotten myself into. Kirksville is halfway across the country, We are going to be without family and friends, and everything we are so comfortable with in St. George. How could I know that we could be happy together in this town we know so little about. Would we fit in in Kirksville? Would I be able to make friends? Would i ever get to see my wonderful husband? Is moving that far away really worth it?... After all of the questioning and little doubts I had, I can definitely say yes. It is worth it! It has been one of the hardest things I have ever done for sure but I really will miss this time in our lives. Matt and I are getting to know each other in ways that I don't think we could have without moving, we have been out of our comfort zones a lot and it has made us grow, we are so blessed! Everything has fallen into place perfectly for us, I can't believe how much I really do love it here. The words in Trace Adkins songs say it perfectly:

" You're gonna miss this, you're gonna want this back, you're gonna wish these days, hadn't gone by so fast, these are some good times, so take a good look around, you may not know it now, but you're gonna miss this"

A few things I adore about Kirksville...

The beautiful sunsets...

Gorgeous Lakes, Rivers, Trees and nature overall...

The fun project nights and the time I have to make "crafty things"
and cook good food for my hubby.

The naps I take with my sweet puppies....

Our Neighborhood and awesome Neighbors!!

I will miss our friends, the Nauvoo temple, Our ward family, the sweet sunbeams,
The Manhattan (a good resturant in town), Thousand Hills State Park and Reflections (my work) and the girls that works there. I am so grateful for this experience and for the opportunities we have been given.

Hey thanks for the comment on my blog. Fun to see you have a blog! Yup, Max is our little sunbeam. Ruby will be a sunbeam in January, so maybe you'll get her. :)

Glad you're liking it here in Kirksville. It really grows on ya, that's for sure. I hated it for awhile when we first moved here (my husband grew up here -- we're not students). ;)
